Accident and emergency nurse jobs

Accident and emergency nurses work in emergency department in the hospitals and are often the first point of contact for many patients who have been brought to the hospital for an emergency condition. An A&E nurses’ first role is to asses the patient by taking vital observations and communicate this information with doctors and other nurses. A&E nurses will care for the general well being of the patient until a doctor has decided what care plan the patient requires and they are moved to another part of the hospital for further treatment. This could be onto an operating theatre, into ITU or a more general ward.
