ITU nurse jobs

Intensive Treatment Unit or Intensive Care Unit RGNs provide care for patients who have life-threatening conditions. These nurses work in the critical care department of a hospital and care for patients who have experienced invasive surgery, accidents, trauma or organ failure. Nurses working on ITU departments will care for patients on a one to one basis. High Dependency Departments (HDU) are also located within the hospital’s critical care department, but tend to care for patients on a one to two basis. These patients are in a less life threatening situation then ITU, but are still in need of a high level of observation. These departments can also be specialised to deal with various illnesses such as cardiac, neurological and neonatal.
